Childrens Gardening Club

Operating from the Polytunnel in Page Park, we run hands-on gardening activities for primary school aged children.

At the core of what we do is:

  • Looking at how to sow seeds, care for a growing plant, identify plants and enjoy a sensory experience.
  • Nutrition, looking at where their food comes from.
  • Looking after the environment, from recycling to protecting wildlife. Many of our activities include using recycled goods for making mini plant pots and crafts.
  • Wellbeing and how nurturing plants is good for both physical and mental health.
  • Teamwork and self confidence in a safe, inclusive setting.

Redfest 2019

We are returning to Redfest this year to sell our Herbs, flowers and vegetables at our stall in the charity zone. We will be holding free herb tasting sessions throughout the day. Come along and try our Black Peppermint tea, excellent for digestive complaints - or perhaps Lemon Balm tea which is calming and good for insomnia, anxiety and soothing.  We look forward to meeting you and telling you about the work we do with vulnerable adults through Green Care.
